Microsoft CEO says £100 savings per PC with Windows 7

According to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, businesses will save up to £100 per PC by rolling out Windows 7 as he attempted to persuade many of Microsoft’s corporate customers to switch to Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7.

High on the list of Ballmer’s agenda for upgrading was cost savings, although the CEO did admit it wasn’t the primary focus when Microsoft first began to design the Windows 7 operating system.
