All New Boeing 747-8 Has Left The Building

It turns out the Boeing 787 isn’t the only new airplane design maneuvering around the company’s factory north of Seattle awaiting a first flight. Boeing’s largest airplane ever, the 747-8 just left the paint shop in preparation for a first flight some time early next year.

At first glance it might not look like a new airplane, but Boeing says more than 70 percent of the airplane’s weight is composed of new materials and components. Developed on the existing 747 airframe, theSource: Autopia RSS Feed
